Interpreting Stress Signals

A Field Guide for Navigating Life with Less Conflict and More Energy

Life will always include moments that challenge us, stretch us, or ask more of us than we expected. The goal isn’t to hide from the things that drain us, but to understand what those moments are pointing to. When circumstances tug against our core needs and values, our energy dips. When we realign with what matters most, even briefly, our energy grows, resilience rises. This guide is about noticing those patterns so you can meet life’s demands with more steadiness, clarity, and capacity.

Compassionate Communication

Nonviolent Communication (NVC), also called Compassionate Communication, is a process developed by Marshall Rosenberg in the 1960s. Rosenburg discovered an insightful way of working through the conflict that arises when two individuals have contrasting strategies for having their own needs and values met. His process involves identifying one’s own needs, the needs of others, and the feelings that surround these needs.
