Capabilities
Thinkers value self-sufficiency. They tend to evaluate their performance internally, measuring themselves by their knowledge, accuracy, and demonstrated capability.
They generally receive criticism as useful data for further consideration. Assuming others share their same desire to improve, they also tend to offer constructive criticism rather freely. Thinkers naturally filter input through their own standards of credibility and logic. Feedback from those they respect is more likely to be considered, while input from less credible sources may be dismissed quickly.
🔎 Where might I be filtering out input too quickly based on who it’s coming from? What value might still be present, even if the source isn’t someone I would typically look to for guidance? What might someone else know, through different life experiences, that I don’t?

Compassionate Communication

Nonviolent Communication (NVC), also called Compassionate Communication, is a process developed by Marshall Rosenberg in the 1960s. Rosenburg discovered an insightful way of working through the conflict that arises when two individuals have contrasting strategies for having their own needs and values met. His process involves identifying one’s own needs, the needs of others, and the feelings that surround these needs.
